PSA by Acosta Addressing Biters

| Friday, June 26, 2009

Greetings everyone its time for me to do a new PSA, there are somethings I have to get off my chest. I can tolerate liars because some people just can not stop telling lies because there lies continue to add up. I can tolerate perverts because some people are addicted to sex. I can tolerate people who lack common sense because some people are raised with sheltered lives. One thing that I can not stand is a biter, someone who lacks creativity and originality and they feed off someone else with style. I understand that everyone does not have that special knack or gift of gab. If you are one of those individuals find something new in life. Its like that line Common used in a song, I can not remember the song title, the quote goes,
"you will never find a man until you find yourself."
We all have a purpose in life, the first step to finding out the purpose is to find who we are, what makes our character. By all means I am not perfect but I am not a biter. Biters are masters of illusion, so when the biter thinks they are shining, its merely fools good. Everything that glitters ain't gold. So just let the rare species shine in there own light and not what you (the biters) call your own, effin biters. Peace

Max Ptah - Life, Love, Respect & Hip Hop

|

Ptah has been putting it down in Hip Hop for a while. Of course virtually unknown, he first started out in high school producing beats for "The Team", which consisted of some of his classmates. Nothing ever becoming serious out of that he decided that Hip Hop was something he was going to get deeper in and he found it right in his own house with brother Voldo. Voldo had the flow the match anyone in the business and also had the production abilities to do it, too. Then the formation of Pirana University started and Voldo enlisted the help of Ptah and 8 other members to form Hip Hop's next great hope. Ptah worked as a recording engineer for New Jaxx Records while handling production for the Pirana University debut album "Operation Razorteeth". He got positive feedback from the album but due to egos, the classic album never got to see the light of day. While things didn't pan out the way he had hoped for and the demise and eventual break up of Pirana U., Ptah still had outlets to explore. He works close with Memphis's IMC and Tunnel Clones group. He's now producing and engineering for an artist from New York named Séance and is about to release the EP entitled "The Memphite Theology". Not the flashy emcee that is the trend now days, he prefers to let his beats and words grab the listeners instead of the braggadocio content that Hip Hop has come to embrace. Knowing that he can't save Hip Hop thanks to executives and corporate corruption, he only echo's the feelings of Phonte's (of Little Brother) statement: "All I have to offer the world are dope beats and lyrics. I can't be a robot or puppet in Hip Hop like many other artists have become. The culture is slowly but surely becoming superficial in a sense that if you are a tight artist or producer all around and have nothing to show for it, you are wack. If these record companies and radio stations get the green off of their minds and refocus on making music that people will talk about 10 years from now that would make that "I gotta get my one hit single out" nonexistent. People want longevity. Not someone exploiting the culture just to make a quick buck." With five more projects slated for release in 2006 (Séance's album "To Whom It May Concern", Rogue Squadron "Delta Quadrant Vol. 1", MaxAnonymous "Revenge of the Nice Guy" & "The Worldwide Network of Evil Monkeys" & his LP debut "The Ankh") its safe to say that Ptah's work is finally about to go noticed.

| Wednesday, June 17, 2009

To his fans, Cole Dennis is a heavyweight contender with a devastating right hook. To a city being held hostage to chaos and terror, Dennis has a grit and charisma that make him the shining hope for justice--until he is arrested for a brutal murder. Framed for a crime he did not commit, he finds himself captive in a foreboding high-tech superprison whose masters secretly conspire to turn inmates into tomorrow's most terrifying bioweapons--with Cole Dennis as the intended prize specimen. But Dennis is nobody's lab rat. Reborn as a towering engine of destruction, Dennis will prepare for the fight of his life. He will rename himself Ghostface Killah. And his cry of righeous rage will echo beyond the cold steel walls of Cell Block Z.

Teaching Slavery

|
Greetings everyone, I want to thank Infinity for bringing this situation to my attention. This posting was originally Posted on WOMANIST MUSINGS, I wanted to share it with all of my readers. Please check out this blog there is alot of valuable information posted.

One cannot teach American history without teaching slavery. When doing so with African American children, it must be handled very carefully. It is a source of great pain and suffering. Even though today we are free as a people, the psychic memory of what our ancestors went through still haunts us.

I remember watching roots with my parents when it originally aired. I had nightmares for weeks. I did not understand, and was terrified that I would be treated like the blacks that I saw on television.

A teacher in Rockland County decided to use tape to bind the hands and legs of two little black girls, and then force them to lie under a desk to teach them what it was like to be a slave. One of the little girls cried throughout the whole experience, as the white teacher explained to the children the conditions the slaves endured during the middle passage.

From her privileged position she could not imagine how traumatic this could be to two little black girls. Even when spoken to about her teaching tactics, she refused to apologize. To make matters worse this woman still has a job. Each day these girls get to face the woman that decided it was okay to publicly shame them. How many more tears do our children have to shed?

How many different kinds of wrong is this? Seriously, imagine the horror, shame, and embarrassment, of those two little girls in front of their peer group. This is not a fucking joke.

I wonder if while she was binding their hands she was imagining herself back in the times when this was an everyday occurrence. Who the hell thinks that it is acceptable to tie up two little girls, to teach them about anything? To then add the indignity of pronouncing them slaves is almost more than I can bare.

Everyday there are examples of how racism continues to be an issue in our society, despite the lie that we are living in a post racial world. Blacks are told we are to sensitive when we complain, and whites continue to deny their unearned privilege. It seems continually we are reminded that we are different, but we are expected to accept it silently.'

'The minute we complain, we are uppity Negroes, trying to use a crutch to get an unfair advantage. Can you just imagine the uproar if a black teacher had decided to tie up two little white girls? Hell it would be all over CNN. Two little white girls would be deemed to fragile and pure for such treatment.

At what point are we entitled to our dignity? Slavery is something that is very painful to people of colour, and to see the memory and legacy of it disrespected in this way, is harmful not only to the children that were bound, but to each and every single person of colour that is daily subjected to racism.

It is my hope that the parents will organize and get this woman fired. No one who thinks that it is acceptable to tie up two little girls has any place in a classroom. There are many methods that could have been employed to teach about slavery, but this certainly was not a good pedagogical decision.

Okay WPD tell me that this isn't really racist. Go on, tell me that I am being too sensitive. Find a way to twist this story so that I am the racist and not the teacher who bound these children. You see, I know the one thing that whiteness has perfected over generations; the ability to find every excuse possible to excuse its privilege.
